What is a Local Organizer?
A Local Organizer is someone that has a strong desire to help promote our My Security Sense education program of awareness and preparedness to individuals and groups in their local community.

Local Organizers are most often women that want to assist other women develop a personal sense of security in a positive and safe environment. Local Organizers work to promote positive self-worth and personal responsibility while validating the right for people to feel - and to use those feelings as the foundation of their personal security sense.

Local Organizers also serve as Discussion Leaders - the core promoters of our grass roots membership drive. Membership in Anti-Victim.Org offers individuals several benefits that are intended to assist them in taking an active role in their personal security. For this reason, Discussion Leaders should be diligently working to promote membership as the outcome of their individual and group presentations and discussions.

Are Local Organizers/Discussion Leaders compensated for their efforts?
Yes. Anti-Victim.Org firmly believes that the membership recruiting effort made by Local Organizers is valuable and positive results should earn compensation. The compensation schedule can differ by locality due to sales tax and other product delivery issues. In general, however, compensation by Anti-Victim.Org is intended to provide a Local Organizer the opportunity to earn good supplemental income with limited expense or personal financial investment.

Are Local Organizers/Discussion Leaders considered staff members or employees of Anti-Victim.Org?
Local Organizers are not considered staff members or employees of our orgranization. Local Organizers are independent representatives only and should always identify themselves in that capacity. What type of training course is necessary to become a Local Organizer?
Local Organizer training is available on our online course website. In some metropolitan areas, we also provide instructor-led training classes. At the conclusion of both the online and instructor-led classes, a quiz is provided to confirm a good understanding of the presentation material and the ability to apply that information to potential situations.

Who organizes and schedules group meetings?
Most group meetings are informal grass roots events with 15 people or less in a Local Organizer's immediate area. These meetings are often put together with little advance notice and held in:
  • living rooms
  • day care centers
  • work places
  • apartment complexes
  • sororities
  • college dormitories and student centers

Because these meetings are in their immediate area, organizing and scheduling these meetings are primarily the responsibility of a Local Organizer. This also allows Local Organizers to work around their other time obligations and establish meeting times and locations that are convenient and have minimal transportation requirements.

How often should group meetings be held?
Local Organizers are expected to plan on holding or attending at least one meeting per week in their immediate area. Of course, the more meetings a Local Organizer can plan and attend, the greater number of potential members and potential recruiting compensation.

Due to the rising price of gasoline, we generally recommend that Local Organizers focus their efforts to the immediate area within a 3-5 mile radius from their home or work place. This also focuses each Local Organizer in an area where they are most familiar and comfortable and provides them a unique understanding of how to work within their individual community.

Where and how can new meeting places and hostesses be found?
There are a variety of places and ways to find people and places to hold meetings in a Local Organizer's immediate local area. Some of these include neighborhood watch groups, day care centers, schools, grocery stores, coffee shops, book stores, church groups, and school groups - including PTAs. Because of Anti-Victim.Org's non-profit status, many retailers will allow Local Organizer's to set up information tables outside their businesses to help promote the organization and recriut hostesses and members.

Referrals are also an important part of finding new hostesses and new attendee invitations. Many hostesses will invite more people than can actually attend and may offer to host multiple meetings over a several week periods to help give their friends and relatives the best opportunity to attend.

Are group meetings the only place that memberships can be promoted?
No. Some Local Organizers may choose to have a one-on-one meeting with a potential member. Local Organizers can also refer potential members to our online course website for education and membership options.
