Online Education Programs
Online Presentation Courses
|
Anti-Victim.Org Community Education Programs are currently offered in locations where we have staff and volunteers physically available to provide the presentations.
To reach the broadest possible audience for this information, we are also working to make our program materials available through a series of online awareness courses available for free to registered users. Our online courses will also serve to provide additional information for attendees to our community meetings by offering additional details, observations and reference information that we cannot include in our on-site programs due to time constraints and presentation media. The goals of our awareness programs are to provide a foundation for turning off "auto-pilot" in everday situations and to enable personal security discussions with alternative concepts and terms to the typical atmosphere of fear. The course materials focus on how to reduce the potential of becoming a target for criminals by being aware and prepared to act to avoid and escape from a potentially violent encounter. Our online education program is separated into four distinct courses:

Online Discussion Forums
|
Anti-Victim.org offers a variety of online discussion forums pertaining to My Security Sense. These forums provide a way for visitors to our website to participate in discussions pertaining to awareness and preparedness and the use of non-lethal deterrence in a variety of potential and real-life situations.
In addition to situational forums, our organization leadership and some of our staff volunteers have their own blogs to faciliate online discussions on related issues that they find personally important. All of our forums and blogs that allow comments from website visitors are moderated with the e-mail address of commentors remaining private. We believe the general anomynity of postings builds a platform for the freest form of information exchange while providing the necessary security and oversight to keep the postings on topic and free from spam. If you are interested in volunteering your time to Anti-Victim.org to assist with moderating our forums and blogs, or believe you have the experience and expertise to develop and mange a unique blog on our site, please click here. |
