The pepper spray gun sprays like an aerosol in a continuous spray from any angle, even when it is held upside down. This pepper spray gun is good for your purse, car, and home. It is intended to be used in an Orange Zone encounter, but it can also be potentially effective in a Yellow Zone encounter. It has an effective range of up to 25 feet. This model allows for better aim and is easy to hold in my hand.

The pepper spray gun has an LED light so that you can aim it easier. It has a safety switch and comes with a water cartridge so you can test it. Learn how far it will reach. See what it feels like in your hand. It also comes with the batteries required for the LED light.

I recommend practicing with this device from time to time. You will need to be comfortable with a "draw and fire" motion.

Leather Plus Model Pepper Spray. In truth, this device looks handy and attractive. However, I'm not comfortable with it. I attached it to my key chain and practiced needing to use it. I had to open a snap on the lid of the leather case. And I had to make sure the spray was facing the right way. I don't think it would shift inside the case since it holds it snug, but the possibility of something going wrong--I don't even want to chance it.

That being said, the pepper spray inside this model is 10% OC, the strongest concentration. The leather key case has an effective range of up to 10 feet. It will attach to your key chain and has a glow-in-the-dark safety cap.

The leather plus model is intended as an Orange Zone security product. The effects last 20-30 minutes and will not cause any permanent damage to an assailant.

Pepper spray in a hard plastic key case for my keychain. Has UV dye and is effective up to 10 feet. The safety cap design is perfect. One motion with my thumb and the spray is ready to use. And the cap glows in the dark. This pepper spray is a must-have for a key chain. Used in an Orange Zone encounter, it is a reliable way to buy yourself time to escape.

I carry this device on my key chain. It also fits well on the outside of a purse. It hangs upside down so when you grab it and bring it up, it's in the direction you want it to be. And right when you grab it, you can release the safety and that safety becomes the trigger for the pepper spray.

The plastic case is lightweight and easy to carry. Two thumbs up.

Walking weights, 1 lb. each, containing built-in pepper spray and elastic hand straps. Storage compartment to keep my house key and a couple of dollars for a bottle of water. The more I hold these Hot Walkers, the more I like them. Somewhat weighty on the ends, I figure I could use them for more than just the pepper spray inside.

If you spray an attacker and he keeps coming toward you, you can use the Hot Walkers to strike him. They come with a free pepper spray refill, too. The straps make these weights very comfortable to hold. They actually hold them in place for you. These weights, though, are only truly effective in Red Zone encounters.

Good for walkers and joggers, this is an effective choice for a Red Zone device to carry, such as in a workout or exercise activity.

Pepper Gel--The Grandaddy of Pepper Defense Sprays

Pepper gel. Extended range of up to 18 feet. This defense spray comes out the consistency of a gel and sticks like glue. Natural reaction would be to wipe it away. Only with this gel, the more you wipe, the more you grind in the pepper. And it contains UV dye. Easy-to-hold cannister is great for your home, your purse, your car.

Sticky and gooey, this gel is made to hold up in outdoor conditions better than many other pepper defense sprays. It's non-flammable and has a flip-top safety cap. Contains Mace's hottest pepper formula.

I called this the Grandaddy of Pepper Defense Sprays. This is a self-defense spray that will incapacitate an assailant while he is still in your Orange Zone. If you spray someone with this, he will have no choice but to deal with the SPLAT. Attacking you becomes secondary, or even forgotten. It certainly creates a time span long enough for you to escape the situation before he enters your Red Zone.

The first time I picked up a lipstick pepper spray, I was surprised at how real it looked. Designed for women, convenient, and effective, it is a great addition to other self-defense products. Just pull off the cap and it's ready to spray. Cleverly disguised, this pepper spray can take an assailant by surprise, giving you the upper hand.

The lipstick pepper spray is designed for a Red Zone encounter. It has an effective range of up to 6 feet.

One of the first situations that comes to my mind is being on a date. In fact, that makes me think of MANY situations where I could potentially be alone with an attacker. Taking control of a escalating situation could mean "freshening up" by taking out my lipstick. Spray him in the face. Surprise--and an opportunity to escape.

I like the pepper spray lipstick. Reminder: I like it IN ADDITION to other security products.

So for two days I’ve been carrying a key baton on my key chain. To the point, within 24 hours of having it there, I realized I actually felt stronger. Was I walking a little taller? It’s definitely got me thinking…

For months I’ve been getting my mind around “living in an increasingly violent society.” tick: Since the inception of this organization, I have acknowledged both the need for, and the importance of, awareness and preparation. Today, though, those words feel different.

And yes, I know it’s because of the baton on my key chain.

Key baton. I read up on it. It increases power. And I can react naturally with it. React naturally. That’s important, not to try to make me a contortionist to use your product. I’ve been simulating my physical reaction while holding this baton. I can use it to swing my keys. I can jab behind me with it. I can use it to pry off an assailant's grip. And I don't have to aim anywhere specific with it.

Effective, reliable, handy, comfortable, and natural. Perfect fit for a close physical Red Zone encounter.

Situations you might encounter can be quite different from someone else's based on the environments where you live, work and play.
Our staff has worked to put together an initial list of recommendations for a variety of living environments. These recommendations, and the list of living enviroments, can and will change over time due to the input of our members.

Each of these living environments are open to comment by our members. These are often the same living environments covered during our My Security Sense meetings.

We strongly encourage any member that wants additional information about any of the recommendations to post their request as a comment and our staff will do their best to provide you their answers as quickly as is possible.
